Due to Covid-19 - documentarian diane estelle Vicari was unable to travel to Ohio, per my last post THE SWING ERA. Thanks to “zoom",” a first for me at 96, we had a live visit instead.

The National Endowment for the Arts​ has a program called the BIG READ. For thirteen years in a row, Massillon Museum have successfully produced this program. This year, Massillon structured programming around balancing the celebration of those in their golden years and the challenges with facing those years.

Director, Alexandra Nicholis Coon explains: "Because of the Museum’s relationship with the filmmaker diane estelle Vicari - via Dr. Nelly Toll, Imagining a Better World: The Nelly Toll story documentary, the Museum knew of Sammy’s film and thought it a perfect way to celebrate a man’s lifetime accomplishments, his “life well lived.”
